Charity and Philanthropy Central to Michael Staisil’s Character

Michael Staisil understands the importance of community. In times of grief and misery, communities do a remarkable job of pulling together – but Michael Staisil believes these efforts to bring people together should not be limited to moments of community, regional, or state crisis. Michael Staisil now dedicates himself as a philanthropic leader through Harvard Business School.

Michael Staisil is working with Harvard Business School to encourage philanthropy and volunteer work. His goal with Harvard is to motivate the school to work and support local charities and organizations to promote the benefit of the community and people. Michael Staisil’s goal is to motivate more than just Harvard Business School students. His goal is to encourage staff and alumni of the school to volunteer or support local charities and their works too.

Michael Staisil is familiar with charity and work as a volunteer. After the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Michael Staisil quickly volunteered to help and assist people affected by the hurricane. Michael Staisil’s help was directed to people in need in the Far Rockaways in New York. Michael Staisil volunteered for large cleanup efforts, supply distribution, and other areas of aid. Hurricane Sandy enabled Michael Staisil to demonstrate his commitment to community efforts.

Aside from volunteering for one of the worst hurricanes to hit the east coast, Michael Staisil is a regular volunteer at homeless shelters. He also works with children who have been diagnosed with terminal diseases. These are some of the hardest moments for Michael Staisil but also the best. While major hurricane damage may hit once a decade or less, there is a constant need for care and support for homeless shelters and children who have been denied a long and healthy childhood. Michael Staisil’s support and works as a volunteer are much appreciated every day by small shelters and homes damaged by large scale catastrophes.
